>Wizards being powerful is part of the core D&D experience. Real D&D fans don’t throw a fit because one class is stronger than others, or isn’t perfectly balance to the point of boredom.
I read this as “I’m an elitist individual who takes pride in knowing tons of supplements to make my wizard a reality-warping machine, and I don’t care if I alienate prospective new players with my power-mongering bullshit.”
I’m not a fan of people who bullshit their way into “being nerds” just to be cool, but completely alienating new people genuinely interested in a hobby like role-playing games because they’re not “true, hardcore fans” is just as fucking retarded. I’m so sick of both people who watched ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and now claim they’ve always been nerds as much as I am sick of self-entitled neck-beards like that motherfucker up there in the title.
Shit, that was cathartic.
